Résumé

As part of my thesis, which concerns the study of the recent contribution of glaciers from the Andes to water resources and sea level rise by means of satellite data, I intend to follow the glaciology course given at UNIS, Svalbard in February - March 2018. The topics of the course cover all the disciplines of glaciological processes, modeling and glacier mass balance, including the links with atmospheric processes, climate, oceans and ice dynamics. Until now my formation in glaciology has been focused in remote sensing methodologies and geodetic mass balance, this course appears like an opportunity to fill all the knowledge I lack specifically on glaciological processes and their link with climate. Moreover, it is a unique opportunity to develop a network of collaborations with strong researchers in these topics and all the selected students, an important point for my future professional integration, in particular to get contact for a future post-doctoral contract.
