Dr Erin Scott is a Senior Editor at Nature Reviews Earth & Environment, joining the journal in September 2020. Prior to this, Erin was an editor at Nature Communications since January 2019, where she handled manuscripts in geochemistry, geodynamics, geomorphology and tectonics. She completed her PhD at Durham University, UK, where her research focused on the uplift and tectonics of the Andean mountain belt, particularly by tracking changes in the geochemistry of Andean magmatism over time. Erin is mainly responsible for the Solid Earth and Environmental Science content at Nature Reviews Earth & Environment.
Summary
Erin will run an informal workshop on the broad theme of publishing Earth Science research with the Nature family of journals. Including going through the editorial criteria for the various Nature Journals, some tips and tricks for highlighting the novelty of your research in cover letters and abstracts, and some insider insight into the editorial processes.
